# Getting started

> Who does what on day one, and where to go next.

BayBoard runs on a few roles. Each one has a short list of things to do on the first day.

## Day one by role

| Role                           | First-day tasks                                                   |
| ------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Owner / Admin, General Manager | Set up the shop profile and hours, add technicians, invite users. |
| Service Advisor, Foreman       | Add jobs and assign them to technicians on the board.             |
| Technician                     | View the board and check My hours in Reports.                     |

The Owner / Admin completes the three-step setup first. After that, Service Advisors and Foremen can start putting jobs on the board as soon as they accept their invite.
