# Delete time off

> Remove a time-off block from a technician.

Owner / Admin, General Manager, Service Advisor, and Foreman can delete time off. There is no edit. To change a block, delete it and add a new one.

## Delete a block

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Time Off Management">
    Service Advisor and Foreman: open Settings and pick **Time Off**, then pick the technician. Owner / Admin and General Manager: open Settings, pick **Team**, and click the technician.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Find the block">
    Blocks are listed under the form as the date, All day or the time range, and the reason. Click the trash button on the block you want to remove.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    A dialog asks "Delete time off?" with "This removes \[shortName]'s \[date] block (\[reason]). Jobs already moved to Unassigned stay there." Click **Delete** to remove it or **Cancel** to keep it.
  </Step>
</Steps>

A toast shows "Time off deleted". The hatched overlay leaves the technician's column on the board.

## Jobs that were moved

Deleting a block does not put jobs back. Any job that moved to the Unassigned panel when the block was added stays there. Drag it back onto the board or run Auto-Schedule to place it again.
