Owner / Admin, General Manager, and Foreman can open Settings and pick Statuses. Service Advisor and Technician do not see this tab. Settings > Statuses is a read-only reference pane. The six statuses are fixed for every shop. You cannot add, edit, delete, or reorder them.

Open Statuses

1

Open Settings

Open Settings from the left rail.
2

Pick Statuses

Click Statuses in the Settings list. The dialog title reads Statuses.

The pane layout

The left side lists Job Statuses with six rows. Each row shows the status name, its stage, and a color swatch. Click a row to show its detail on the right. The detail panel shows the name, stage, a short description, and a Where this shows up list. A footer bar at the bottom reads Fixed set. Every shop uses these six statuses across the board and reports.

The six statuses

Archived and In Queue are queue-stage statuses. Their description reads “Jobs with this status live in the queue and do not occupy a technician time slot.” The other four are schedule-stage statuses. Their description reads “Jobs with this status appear on the schedule grid with a technician and time slot.” When you click any status, Where this shows up lists three bullets:
  • Status pill on every job card
  • Status picker in Job Details
  • Time-in-status and stuck-job reporting
