Every job has one of six statuses. The set is the same for every shop and cannot be changed. Settings > Statuses and Settings > Job Types are reference lists only.
The six statuses
Setting a job to In Queue or Archived takes it off the board.
Change a status
Click the status pill on any card. A menu titled “Set status” lists Archive, Assigned, Completed, In Progress, In Queue, and Waiting on Parts. Pick one.
You can also open the card and use the Status buttons in Job Details. Either way the change saves at once.
Status changes work on past days too. You need the Owner / Admin, General Manager, Service Advisor, or Foreman role.
Waiting on Parts
Choosing Waiting on Parts opens a window titled “Waiting on Parts” that reads “Record when parts were ordered and the expected arrival date.”
Click Confirm to set the status or Cancel to leave it unchanged. Auto-Schedule uses the ETA to decide when the job is ready to place. See Run Auto-Schedule.
Archive a job
Choosing Archive asks “Archive job?” with the note “This job will move off the board and out of the active Unassigned list. You can find it again with the Archived filter.” Click Archive to confirm or Cancel.
To find an archived job later, open the Unassigned panel and set the Status filter to Archived. There is no delete. Archiving is the only way to remove a job, and you can set it back to another status at any time.
Completed jobs
A Completed job stays where it is. It cannot be dragged, resized, or archived until you change its status. If you try, you see “Revert the completion first, then move the job.” or “Revert the completion first, then archive.” Set the status to In Progress or Assigned first, then make your change.
